Celebrating two icons of precision engineering, this Seiko Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph pays tribute to the legendary Datsun 240Z. Limited in production, the 41 mm timepiece blends vintage-inspired details with cutting-edge reliability.
The “DATSUN” block logo from the car’s steering wheel has been recreated at 12 o’clock, while the Arabic numerals on the dial and tachymeter echo the dashboard font of the original 240Z. A bi-colour aluminium bezel with tachymeter recalls Seiko’s prized Speedtimer archive model, prized by collectors.
The three-link bracelet complements the case’s proportions for perfect balance, its centre links finished in black hard-coating as an homage to the 240Z bonnet. On the case back, an exclusive illustration of the rally-winning Datsun 240Z is engraved alongside “LIMITED EDITION” and the individual serial number — a mark of rarity for discerning enthusiasts.
